02. Academic challenges

Academic challenges

International students are here in the US for one major reason, to receive a high quality education in the US. In the course of receiving this education, there are many academic challenges that may arise. The scale and scope of academic challenges international students may face is highly diverse, but some of the most common are language barrier, differences in the education systems of the US and their home countries, honor code, and USCIS academic requirements. International students studying in the US must be enrolled full time, and meet USCIS attendance requirements. The guidelines are not easy to interpret, especially in the post-COVID era. Our academic specialists can ensure that the guidelines are clear so that our students are able to understand and meet USCIS requirements.

Our academic specialist team is also versed in honor code disputes. When an international student faces an honor code charge, it is different from domestic students. These honor code charges could have an impact on the student’s visa status and ability to study in the US. As a result, it is imperative that international students have adequate representation when confronting an honor code charge. The effects of an honor code charge can have substantial and lasting impacts on students’ ability to pursue their education goals.
